Boozy Bites has reinvented the jello shot. Vegan and in six flavors, Boozy Bites come in a patent pending push-up cup, so people can enjoy an edible cocktail one bite at a time.
Boozy Bites was looking to replace its current lids, which were too tight and had small bumps on the rim, with a clear stackable lid for their growing natural gel shot line. The goal was to highlight the colorful gel shot without a distracting lid so the consumer could get a clear view of the colorful gel shot in the patented push-up cup.
The food packaging challenge was to create a tight-fitting lid with stacking features so shots could be stacked at parties without falling over. Also, special locking features needed to be designed so the lid would stay in place during handling but could easily be removed by the consumers. The last task was to eliminate the small distracting bumps around the edge of the lid while maintaining structural integrity.
The FCP thermoformed food packaging design team was able to create a clear lid with stackable features, no distracting bumps on the lid, and custom locking features to not only hold the lid in place but also allow the lid and patented push-up cup to showcase the beautiful gel shots.
